 At this time of year burglaries can become more common. To help combat this, Cambridgeshire Constabulary are holding a Burglary day of action on Tuesday 26th November.
On the day there will be a burglary information event in Whittlesey library from 09:30-11:30 where you will be able to come along and our Community Safety Officer, Jules Hanrahan, will be on hand to offer advice and useful hints and tips. There will also be an opportunity to purchase some crime prevention products. If any of you are able to pop in or would like some leaflets to drop into the members of your scheme this would be especially welcomed in hotspot areas. Looking at the burglary figures, Whittlesey has seen dwelling burglaries in: The local policing teams will also be out and about across Fenland leaflet dropping and providing information to residents in areas that have experienced dwelling burglaries and shed/outbuilding thefts. Please come along and speak to Jules at the event on Tuesday if you can.
