A bid for ‘Local Highways Improvement’ in partnership with Cambs CC for a Zebra Crossing to be placed on Station Road, near the Manor Leisure Centre was discussed at last nights Finance & Policy Committee meeting.
The costings from Cambs CC were in the region of £42,000 of which Whittlesey Town Council having to contribute some £31,000
There was substantial alterations to the road and pathway ajoining the proposed Zebra Crossing – this was why is was so costly.
The F&P committee recommended that due to the very expensive costings involved that this project not go ahead.
