| As the evenings become darker and Guy Fawkes night is just around the corner there are Personal Safety events being organised by the Community Safety Officer. A community fire service volunteer will bring out lots of freebies to give away and give advice on keeping safe around fire. Detectors. Carbon monoxide poisoning etc. There will also be information about personal safety at home, tips on avoiding making your home and property less attractive to burglars and when out and about, parking your car in a well-lit area, not having items of value on show when walking alone or in your car, etc.
